They were born in Hanau

• They were German academics, linguists, cultural researchers, lexicographers and authors who together specialized in collecting and publishing folklore during the 19th century.  They were among the best-known storytellers of folk tales

Hanau

• In 1838 they began writing a definitive German dictionary (Deutsches Wörterbuch), which they were unable to finish during their lifetime.
• Tales are available in more than 100 languages and have been later adapted by filmmakers including Lotte Reiniger and Walt Disney, with films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Sleeping Beauty.

          Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894)

          He was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist, and travel writer

            His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped,

            and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr  Hyde.

           Jekyll & Hyde    
            It  is a musical thriller based on the novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert 
           Louis Stevenson.

Grimms' Fairy Tales

Sleeping Beauty

       The version collected by the Grimms was an orally transmitted version of the originally literary tale published by Charles Perrault.

Hansel and Gretel

           Hansel and Gretel are a young brother and sister kidnapped by a cannibalistic witch living 

            deep in the forest in a house constructed of cake and confectionery. The two children save their lives by outwitting her.

         A Christmas Carol 
        It is anovella by Charles Dickens, first published  on 19 December 1843.
         It tells the story of a bitter old miser  and his transformation into gentler.
